About the NPS Calculator
The National Pension System (NPS) is a market-linked retirement scheme with extra tax benefits. Enter your monthly contribution, expected return and current age, and this calculator estimates your corpus at 60 and the invested-versus-gains split.
How NPS works at retirement
Your contributions are invested across equity and debt until age 60. At 60, at least 40% of the corpus must buy an annuity (a regular pension), and up to 60% can be withdrawn as a largely tax-free lump sum. See our glossary on NPS.
NPS tax benefits
NPS offers deductions under Section 80C and an additional ₹50,000 under Section 80CCD(1B), over and above the ₹1.5 lakh 80C limit — one of its biggest draws for tax-savers.
